What matters most to you?

The number of days isn't really the question. What you're deciding is how to trade miles against time at home.

More home time
Fewer workdays, more consecutive time at home. For drivers who'd trade some miles to be around for the things that happen on a Tuesday.
Representative: 4-day-style
Balance
Strong weeks without maximizing every available mile. Solid earnings, weekly home time, a schedule you can plan around.
Representative: 5-day-style
Maximum earning potential
For qualified drivers who want to run. This is where the top of our pay range lives.

Representative: 6-day-style

Schedules shown are representative examples. Current assignments and availability change over time. HC-PHX works with qualified drivers to find the best available fit based on operational needs, qualifications and driver preferences.

Pay, in the open

Team mileage is the truck's mileage. Your pay is on your half.

Here's exactly how a week works out.

Team miles — the truck5,526
÷ Two drivers2
Your compensated miles2,763
× Your rate$0.72
Your week$1,989.36

Run more miles and it scales up. Run fewer and you're home more.

Loyalty pays

Stay, and your rate goes up on a schedule.

Raises at 12 months, 3 years and 6 years — added on top of the base rate, so raising the starting rate to hire never erases yours.

6 years

Most carriers lift the starting rate to bring people in, and a driver four years deep ends up earning what the new hire earns. Here the raise you earned stays ahead of it.

Driver Trainer pay stacks on your own rate, tenure included — a six-year driver who trains earns $0.90 a mile.

How hiring works here

We hire drivers, not seats.

We bring on qualified drivers, then work to match current assignments with your experience, your priorities, and what the operation needs.

Our operation gives us flexibility. Some drivers prioritize more home time; others prioritize miles and earnings. When current operations allow, we work to match qualified drivers with the best available fit.

Dedicated FedEx freight

We're a contracted service provider pulling FedEx trailers. The same kind of week, every week — you're not waking up wondering where you're going.

Consistent schedules

Know the run, know the schedule, know what you'll earn.

Weekly home time

Built into the schedule. Many of ours give consecutive days off.

A published rate that grows

$0.72 a mile with the math to go with it, plus scheduled raises at 1, 3 and 6 years.

Equipment

You're going to live in it. It should be a great truck.

Your office is a 2027 Kenworth T-680.

2027 Kenworth T-680

Current fleet. Not a truck that's been through three drivers before you.

Nationwide maintenance

Wherever the freight takes you, there's somewhere to get it fixed.

24/7 roadside support

A bad day on the road stays a short one.

Drop & hook, hub to hub

No freight handling. Less time waiting, more time moving.

No teammate? That shouldn't end the conversation.

Most of our drivers came to us on their own. We've paired them with partners who are safe, professional and easy to share a truck with — and when a pairing isn't working, we deal with it.

Apply solo and we'll talk team options. We can't guarantee a match, but we've found one for most people who asked.
